L’École supérieure d’art | Dunkerque-Tourcoing a fait des relations internationales un axe fort de son développement.
L’Esä accueille de nombreux.euses étudiant.es étrangers. Adhérente à Campus France depuis de nombreuses années, elle s’appuie largement sur le dispositif Campus Art. L’école compte environ 25% d’étudiants étrangers et vingt nationalités sont représentées.
L’Esä est constituée de deux sites, entre métropole lilloise et littoral. L’essence transfrontalière des territoires est propice aux échanges : la proximité de grandes capitales culturelles européennes (Bruxelles, Gand, Liège, Lille, Londres, Rotterdam...) renforce le rayonnement et favorise la mobilité internationale.
The Ecole supérieure d’art | Dunkerque-Tourcoing has made international relations a major focus of its development.
The Esä welcomes many foreign students. It has been a member of Campus France for many years and relies heavily on the Campus Art scheme. The school has about 25% foreign students and twenty nationalities are represented.
The Esä is made up of two sites, between the Lille metropolis and the coast. The cross-border nature of the area is conducive to exchanges: the proximity of major European cultural capitals (Brussels, Ghent, Liège, Lille, London, Rotterdam, etc.) reinforces the school's influence and encourages international mobility.

La quasi-totalité des cours sont donnés en français. Vous avez la possibilités de suivre un enseignement de français facultatif en cursus initial, ou obligatoire (16 heures) en classe FLE-A
Almost all courses are taught in French. You have the possibility to follow optional French courses in the initial curriculum, or compulsory (16 hours) in the FLEA class.

Students must provide a certificate of liability insurance (translated into French) on arrival at the Esä
PROTECTION SOCIALE EN FRANCE
L'affiliation au régime étudiant de la sécurité sociale est obligatoire dès l'entrée dans l'enseignement supérieur. Chaque étudiant.e est concerné.e, quelle que soit sa nationalité. Exception : les étudiant.es provenant de l'Espace économique européen et de la Suisse, titulaires d'une carte européenne d'assurance maladie (CEAM) ou d'un certificat d'affiliation à un organisme d'assurance privé (qui les couvre pour toute l'année universitaire sans franchise ni plafond de prise en charge), ne sont pas tenus d'être affiliés.
Les étudiant.es québécois.es doivent présenter leur carte soleil à leur arrivée.
Dès son arrivée à l'école, tout.e étudiant.e international.e en provenance d'un pays non E.E.E., pour un séjour supérieur à 3 mois, doit s'inscrire à la sécurité sociale française (couverture maladie, régime obligatoire avec remboursement partiel des frais médicaux : https://etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr/#/

Chaque étudiant.e peut choisir librement de compléter cette prime de base auprès d’une assurance supplémentaire (appelée mutuelle en France).
SOCIAL PROTECTION IN FRANCE
Membership of the student social security system is compulsory from the moment you enter higher education. Every student is concerned, regardless of nationality. Exception: students from the European Economic Area and Switzerland, who hold a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or a certificate of affiliation to a private insurance organisation (which covers them for the whole academic year with no deductible or maximum cover), are not required to be affiliated.
Quebec students must present their sun card upon arrival.
Upon arrival at the school, any international student from a non-EU country, for a stay of more than 3 months, must register with the French social security system (compulsory health coverage with partial reimbursement of medical expenses: https://etudiant-etranger.ameli.fr/#/

Each student may freely choose to supplement this basic premium with an additional insurance (called mutuelle in France).
L’ÉVALUATION PÉDAGOGIQUE, LE SYSTÈME ECTS (ICI):
Tous.tes les étudiant.es obtiennent des crédits lors des évaluations de leur travail à l’Esä pour faire valoir leur apprentissage auprès de l'établissement d'accueil.
À condition que l'étudiant.e ait répondu au contrat pédagogique initialement co-signé, à la fin du semestre à l'Esä, les étudiant.es en échange reçoivent une attestation de présence et un relevé de notes/ECTS correspondant à chaque unité d'enseignement. La charge de travail moyenne pour un semestre à l'Esä est de 30 ECTS par semestre (60 ECTS pour l'ensemble de l'année universitaire).
EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT, THE ECTS SYSTEM (HERE):
All students are awarded credits in the assessment of their work at Esä.
They can use these credits to prove their learning to the host institution.
Provided that the student has fulfilled the initially co-signed learning contract, at the end of the semester at esä, exchange students receive a certificate of attendance and a transcript of records/ECTS corresponding to each teaching unit. The average workload for a semester at Esä is 30 ECTS per semester (60 ECTS for the whole academic year).
